When the geyser erupts it can shoot anywhere from 3,700 to 8,400 gallons of boiling water to a height of 106 to 185 feet lasting from 1.5 to 5 minutes.

Going-to-the-Sun Road
An incredible feat of engineering, this 50-mile pathway snakes its way up steep slopes, through narrow tunnels, past waterfalls and along some of the most spectacular mountain views in Glacier National Park. There are numerous turnoffs along the road where one can safely stop to take pictures and admire the views. The road's apex is at Logan Pass at an elevation of 6,646 feet.
